Floral Design Class!

The past two Thursdays I have attended floral design class with two of my friends. We had the best time! The first week our teacher showed us how to make a vase arrangement.
First, she began with some beautiful greenery. I think it is eucalyptus.
Then, she added more beautiful greenery, including some fabulous fern leaves.
Finally, she began adding the most beautiful roses. I didn't get a photo of the final product, but it was stunning! Whoever received this design the next day was one lucky lady!
Next, she taught us how to make a beautiful hand tied bouquet. I'm really looking forward to my next trip to the grocery store to select a fun combination of flowers and greenery and put together my own!
Next, she showed us how to make a beautiful oasis arrangement. The above was the arrangement she made and then we got to try the arrangement for ourselves.
First, we placed the beautiful flowers in the oasis. The flowers we used were stock, yellow roses, and another beautiful coral flower that I can't remember the name of.
Then, we added greenery around the flowers.
Here are my sweet friends Ashley and Terrie and their beautiful arrangements.
And here is my final product! I loved putting this arrangement together and we got to take our final products home!!

This Thursday we had our second design session. This time the floral designer created a beautiful rose bowl.
I absolutely love rose bowls, so it was fabulous to learn how to put an arrangement together.
Here is closeup of the rose bowl arrangement. I thought it looked like something out of an English country garden. The roses were some of the most beautiful I had ever seen!
Then, the designer made an incredible modern arrangement in a large rectangular vase, which she covered and tied with raffia.
Then, she showed us how to create this arrangement in a cube vase.
Here is a closeup of her example arrangement. Then, we got to try out our own floral arrangement skills.
Here are a few pics of my final arrangement. It was so fun to learn a new craft! The floral studio where we met, was fabulous, too!
Hope you have a fabulous weekend!!
