Israel Eve and Something Sweet!

The afternoon before we left on our incredible journey, my friend Kelli picked me up at my apartment and we drove to the DFW area to stay with our other friend Amy at her sweet in-laws house.  They were so precious and hospitable and we were so thankful to go to the airport the next morning from a closer locale.  That evening we had an amazing Italian dinner at the incredible Brio Tuscan Grille in Southlake.

We began with a lovely sampling of bruschetta and then I ordered the following dish (description courtesy of the BRIO menu):
BRIO Dinner Menu: "Sweet Potato & Chicken Risotto
With pancetta, roasted chicken and sweet potatoes, grilled asparagus, Parmigiano-Reggiano and pine nuts"
It was delish!  I wish I had thought to bring my camera!!  We finished our meal with a tasty dessert -- so yum!  I will definitely return to this wonderful place.  Thanks to Amy for a wonderful introduction to this fabulous restaurant!! :)

After dinner we went to a conference where Amy's husband was leading in worship.  AMAZING!  God is using him in a mighty way and it was the perfect way to prepare my heart before this journey.

We headed back to our home base a little early, so we could get some good rest before our journey.

In the morning Amy's mother-in-law prepared the most delicious breakfast tacos -- a perfect sendoff for a day of travel.

I am so thankful for every step of the journey and never cease to be filled with awe and wonder about the way God provides for us.

On a side note, I would like to give a little shout out to the Lady Bears who are headed to the Sweet Sixteen!!

Way to go! Sic 'Em!!! :)
