Get Pinspired!

Y'all, I'm totally stepping out of the box today and am so excited to be linking up for the first time with some of my very favorite bloggers!!!  Sheaffer, Shay and Mel host this fabulous linkup that lets you put together a fun outfit from your own closet based on an inspiration from Pinterest.  I love reading Sheaffer's blog, Pinterest Told Me To, where she finds outfit inspiration from Pinterest all the time and at first I was totally intimidated at the thought of finding an outfit on Pinterest that I could actually put together, but after looking through my "What to Wear" Board, I actually found a few things that might work.  Here is the pin I chose for today's "Pin-spired" look:

Now, I am no style blogger by any stretch, but I had fun looking in my closet and seeing what might work using a gray v-neck t-shirt, skirt, statement necklace and layering piece.

Since it is summer in Texas, I thought it would be fun to mix up this look with a green skirt and a bright cardigan.  I was gifted the pearl and crystal statement necklace by Coldwater Creek through Southern Living a couple of years ago and love any chance to get to wear it again.

All of these items are several seasons ago and some are a few more than several seasons old!  I guess that is what I loved about this challenge is being able to find new combinations with items I already own.
