Fall Days

One beautiful fall Saturday, I had a big paper to work on and decided the perfect way to get a good start was with a good breakfast!  I went to Cafe Homestead and it did not disappoint.
From the beautiful view out the window

To the tasty turkey bacon, banana pancakes, coffee, and real maple syrup

To the beautiful outdoor setting for paper prep,

I had a great time and got a little work done, too!

Then, later that day, I felt a bit adventurous and decided to create some soup -- well, I had a jumpstart with this yummy mix!

I also had some fabulous fresh squash from the World Hunger Relief Farm

So I thought adding some squash to the cheddar soup would be mighty tasty.

I even got a little crazy and put it in my blender.
Ooh La La
So gourmet!

Of course an evening of hard work on a paper and battling out with the Bears as they came back from a 21 point deficit at the beginning of the 4th quarter to winning in overtime definitely calls for a yummy bowl of popcorn and M&M mix paired with a delicious mug of hot cocoa.
