I'm Back!

Hi friends!  If anyone is still reading this little piece of the interweb... Oh, how I've missed it.  I've had some exciting new things happen in my life -- got married, bought a house -- you know, run of the mill everyday kind of stuff! :)  Seriously, though, it has been a blast!  I'm loving married life and getting used to my roomie for life!  Ha!  

If you saw my earlier post, I am starting a new blog that will focus more on spiritual reflection called Hope and Holiness (hopeandholiness.wordpress.com), but I thought today how I might want to continue the Chronicles of Carroll to share the little things along the way that just make me happy. :) 

Today I wanted to share my love for a little website called Pinterest -- perhaps you have heard of it? ;)

It is like having every fun recipe, fashion inspiration, decor idea, travel locale, DIY project, etc. right at your fingertips.  I just love how many ideas I get and how fun it is to organize it on all the different boards.  Anywhoodle, the mister and I have loved using all the recipes we find to help us with our meal plans each week and so far I don't think I've tried a recipe that didn't work.  Fingers crossed!

So that's one thing that is making me happy today!  I would love to follow you if you have a Pinterest account.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend!  I'm sure I'll spend a bit of it pinning. :)

Celebrating!

Mr. G and I have had so much fun attending several Christmas events so far this month!

The Truett Christmas banquet was so much fun. 

Lindsey's annual Christmas party was great, too.

So fun to celebrate the season with these sweet friends!

And last Thursday, we attended Mr. G's work party.

We had such a fun time!!

Last night, he took me on a special date to celebrate my graduation!  Yes, it is true, I will actually graduate from seminary on Friday -- Woo Hoo!!  We went to Fort Worth and ate an incredible meal at Taverna and enjoyed nutella cheesecake for dessert.  Then, Mr. G took me to see The Nutcracker at Bass Hall.  Pure magic. :)

Thankful 9, 10, 11

So thankful for so much this weekend!

Friday night Mr. G and I enjoyed some Friday night football complete with Frito chili pie and chili cheese fries!!

So thankful for these fun Friday nights in Texas and remembering how cheering on the Wildcats growing up was such a wonderful community-wide bonding experience!

Saturday, I was thankful for a sweet time with some very special ladies choosing the bridesmaids dresses for our wedding. The ones we chose are so beautiful and I think will be just right for the occasion! I also picked out some adorable frocks for our flower girls and am so thankful for their precious lives! After shopping, we lunched at the Dream Cafe nearby and it was delish!! Mom and I braved the crowds and shopped for some boots and accessories for the engagement photos and found just the right things. :) Then I hopped in the car and made it back in time for a date night with Mr. G. We saw "Skyfall" and it is fantastic!! Such a great cast, too!

Today I am thankful for a true Sabbath that included a wonderful time of worship with my church family and an afternoon nap. :) I can't express my thanks enough to the Almighty God who holds onto us no matter what happens on our life journey.
