Bears, Bubbles, and Blue Bell

A few weekends ago my brother and his fam came for a visit and we had the best time!

Our first stop was the bear habitat on the Baylor campus.  We were so happy to see the bears!

Then, we made a stop at the Baylor Bookstore to check out all the official gear.
So many good things happening in this picture: Briles and Brooks -- a winning combo!

Three special guys!

Next stop: Ninfa's
Mac loved his newly acquired friend, "Excavator", a fun surprise from our bookstore trip. :)

After our yummy lunch, we did a little shopping at Spice, Roots and Congress Clothing.
Then, it was time for a treat at Common Grounds.

The picture on the left above is painted outside of an adorable shop next door that has sadly just recently closed its doors.

Oh how we love us some Common Grounds!
I just love going to places like this where we both went as students years before we even knew each other!!
I remember so many CG visits thinking how fun it would be to share coffee with a special guy and now I get to!

Then, it was naptime.
What a busy day!

We loved getting hang out with some of our favorite peeps!
After the littles went to sleep, we had fun playing dominoes

And laughing...lots of laughing!

The next day started out with fun game of hide and seek between Mac and Uncle G.

Then it was time to head out for a fun adventure!

Mac and Pops were ready to go!!

First stop, Magnolia!

Joanna Gaines has carefully curated this delightful shop filled with home decor items that fit perfectly with her design style on HGTV's Fixer Upper.

Next stop, lunch!

A Torchy's Taco recently opened here and I've been looking forward to my first visit.
I ordered a brisket taco and it was fantastic.  I can't wait to go back to try the queso -- I've heard it is amazing!!

Sweet Brooks had a good time, too!

After lunch we headed to the Mayborn Museum for the dinosaur exhibit.

Mac was captivated by the animatronic T Rex in the entry.

He also loved playing dinosaur games and trying on a dino tail in the exhibit.

The Discovery Center at the Mayborn is fantastic for kids.
The museum has a wide variety of rooms with different themes for children to learn about a wide variety of topics.  One room is all about the weather and you can even pretend you are giving the weather report on the news!

I think the bubble room might have been a favorite!

After a busy day we all headed home and enjoyed some yummy Blue Bell.

The next day we enjoyed a relaxing morning before having to say goodbye.

My mom and dad were able to stay a little longer, so we enjoyed church, lunch and a fun afternoon drive.  We also may have enjoyed a little more Blue Bell before they left.
Oh how I'd forgotten the deliciousness of Peaches and Cream!

Thanks for such a fun visit!  Can't wait to see you all again soon. :)
