Game Day 1

The Bears opening game at Floyd Casey was such fun!  E & M arrived Friday night and then L arrived on Saturday.  M & I started off our game day at this little place...

We are ready to cheer on the Bears!!

Yummy Punkin' Pie coffee!!  One of my favorite flavors. :)
Mine is on the right with the tell tale milk added...
After getting our caffeine for the morning.  M & I met E at the bookstore for some pregame shopping.
Aren't they the cutest!!
Then sweet friend, L, arrived.
Here we are before heading to lunch!
And where else would we go before the first game of the season to gain nourishment for cheering?

You guessed it!  Such a yummy place.  We didn't get fried pickles this time, but they are my favorite!! :)

High Fashion

Several weeks ago, my precious friend, A, invited me to a fabulous fashion alumni event for her alma mater.  Her dear friend, L, put it all together and she did an incredible job.  We had such a fun time!!  I felt just like I was at New York fashion week!

Here are some photos from the event:
What a beautiful centerpiece!
These were on the tables scattered throughout the venue.
The refreshments were incredible, too!  They had the yummiest cookies and petit fours all from this adorable bakery.  I'm so sad I didn't get a photo of them, but trust me when I say they were as darling as they were delicious!!

The Runway
Love that leopard carpet!  We got to sit on the front row, too!!  So fun!
After the fashion show, we got our picture taken at a photo station with one of the models and were instructed to visit the David Yurman counter to sign up for a David Yurman bracelet they were giving away as a door prize.  Sadly, my name wasn't drawn, but what a fun prize!!

Thanks, sweet friend, for such a fabulous treat!!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!!

Yesterday was the birthday of one of the most wonderful men on planet Earth, my Dad.  God has blessed me beyond all measure to have him for my father.  Dad has taught me so many things throughout my life.  Bless his heart, we're still working on basic football terminology and I'm trying to get better at learning what all those penalties mean.  I think I've finally gotten "offsides" down now! :)  Maybe one day I won't have to text him in the middle of the game after the referee makes an announcement to find out what's going on!! :)

Dad, thank you so much for being my coach, encourager, teacher, spiritual guide, and friend.  I am so thankful for all the things you have taught me and look forward to many more life lessons.

I love you, Daddy, and hope you had a wonderful day!!

Mom shared some pictures from their celebration at home:

L to R: G, M, and Dad
BTW, I love the pumpkin centerpiece, Mom!! :)
Notice the perfect gift bag for the sports aficionado! :)
Mother and Son :) So sweet!

Dad and Mom
The best parents a girl could ask for! :)

Oh, how I love all those smiling faces!  Makes me miss home.  I'm looking forward to seeing Mom soon, though, and hopefully I'll see the others soon after that!

Hope you are all enjoying this cooler weather. :)

Happy Belated Birthday, M!!

We celebrated my beautiful grandmother, M's, birthday last month.  I met my mom, the honoree, and M's dear friend, O, for lunch at Bistro Louise in Fort Worth.  What a fun place to celebrate!
l to r: M, Mom, and O.  Love these ladies!!

For an appetizer, we each tried the delicious carrot soup.

As you can see, I had already begun enjoying my soup before I took the picture. :)
Doesn't it look so lovely and autmnal?  It definitely makes me long for cooler weather!

M, your wisdom, love, creativity, and zest for life inspire everyday.
What a blessing God has given me, allowing me to be a part of your life!  I love you so much!!
